Avoid eating or chewing until all numbness has worn off. Should you experience discomfort for a day or two, please do not be alarmed-this is common.

Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB) or other similar strength analgesics (aspirin, Tylenol) should relieve the situation. Follow the directions on these over the counter medications. Many times the treated tooth has been weakened by previous decay and fillings. It is often necessary for this tooth to receive additional protection in the form of a cast restoration (onlay or crown). Your general dentist is best qualified to determine how to restore your tooth. A note and radiograph are being sent to your dentist informing him/her that treatment has been completed.

Please call our office in approximately 6 months for re-examination. The progress of healing of your tooth and surrounding tissues will be evaluated. There will be a $25.00 charge for this visit, to cover x-rays and infection control expenses.

If you have any questions or concerns about your treatment, please do not hesitate to call.
